Destination weddings

Imagine the glamor of having champagne poured into your glass by a waiter, complete with white gloves. The first glimmer of stars appear overhead as the sun sinks under the waves behind the gazebo where you and your spouse just finished saying "I do" in a sunset ceremony on the beach.

This is the vision that Karisma Hotels has for your wedding day. Their destination weddings are beachfront glamor with gazebos for the ceremony and elegant outdoor seating at linen covered tables glistening with candlelight.

Consult your desired hotel ahead of time to find out if they have the gazebo style you prefer. Some have a full standard gazebo on the beach, others a four-post gazebo that they can set up in your desired location with a canopy of tulle and decorated with fresh flowers.

Custom Buttons 2 for Firefox

I determined that I have to find an easier way to get things done during the day, so I went out and hunted up the Custom Buttons add-on that I had at one time for Firefox. I found the new version of it, Custom Buttons2 and loaded it up. After a few hours of getting lost on how to make it work for what I need, I gave up. Yes, I gave up. I unloaded it and went back to looking for another add-on that might be easier to use.

I found the older version of Custom Buttons that I had used before and decided to try it, it had worked before after all. So, I downloaded it and tried it and after a bit of looking around I figured out the code needed to make it open a URL for me. Inspiration hit and I loaded up the newer version once again and tried the code in that. Eureka!

I can now make my own toolbar for my work stuff so that when I am working, the only toolbars at the top of the screen are ones related to what I am working on at that time.

For example, I am working on writing about health things for my health websites. I can have a toolbar displayed that keeps me focused just on the things needed for that work, uncluttered by links that I use when working on my family caregiving articles, writing classes, or the novel I am working on.

So... what's the secret to the Custom Buttons2 toolbar?
loadURI("http://www.thewritingoffice.com");

Enter that in the code section, under the /*code*/ entry. This lets you open your chosen website from the customized button. Change http://www.thewritingoffice.com to whatever url you want the button to open.

Savings Bonds

I went out a little while ago looking into what savings bonds are and I have to admit that I got so danged confused by them that I gave up looking into them.

I'm going to go back out, though, and dig through the information on them and tear it down into digestible bite sized bits and will share what I figure out here with my readers so that you can start thinking toward possible future investment possibilities.

Gold Coin Investments

When you work at home you are responsible for investing in your own future. There are no employer retirement plans unless you, the employer, set them up. This means that in addition to understanding how to run a small business, you must understand investing and savings.

One particularly popular investment for those looking for a long term investment is to invest in precious metals such as gold or silver. Of particular interest to new investors are investment quality gold and silver coins. Monaco Rare Coin, Monex's rare coin dealer, has a staff of hard asset professionals that are ready to help you.

Visit the Monaco Rare Coin website to find out more about all of the rare and collectible coins offered. Including the American Eagle gold coin, a coin of .9167 fine gold that is available in investment quantities of units of 10 one-ounce coins.
