Hiring down in first quarter of 2008

Work at home? Consider yourself lucky. A survey released Tuesday stated that less than a quarter of employers expect to add positions during the first quarter of the new year.

Twelve percent of companies even reported that they expect to reduce employment during the first three months of 2008.

So, if you have a steady at home job, count yourself lucky that you won't have to be out there trying to find work in the new year.
